Digital Health Implementation and Adoption Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Health Implementation & Adoption Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful deployment and adoption of telehealth technologies and digital health tools across medical facilities, virtual care sites, and where patients are seeking to access care. This role requires a strong background in program implementation, project management, digital health technologies, telehealth products, healthcare IT systems, virtual care delivery, and provider and patient adoption. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best practices and industry standards for incorporating telehealth and digital health tools into patient care at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and manage in collaboration with customer stakeholders and other PMs national, regional, and site-specific implementation and deployment plans for virtual care programs, digital health tools and products, and telehealth equipment, including engagement, adoption planning, and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive multi-year national deployment strategies and schedules for telehealth technologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and prioritize implementation activities.
  • Coordinate deployment activities in collaboration with initiatives and modernization efforts at the enterprise, regional, site levels to ensure integration, minimal disruption of care delivery, and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Develop adoption strategies for telehealth technologies and digital health tools.
  • Lead the execution of deployment plans, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
  • Oversee the deployment of new and enhanced telehealth equipment, mobile apps, and other digital health tools, ensuring successful integration into existing workflows.
  • Monitor and track progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Create and maintain best practice deployment playbooks, providing guidance and standardized procedures for consistent implementation across multiple sites.
  • Conduct site visits, as needed, to assess deployment readiness and procedures. Work with stakeholders to refine deployment plans tailored to site requirements.
  • Provide field and end-user support, addressing technical issues and facilitating a smooth transition to new digital health solutions.
  • Update communication and training strategies and content to align with provider and end-user preferences, maximizing adoption and engagement.
  • Host virtual forums and lead live training sessions to educate and engage stakeholders in the adoption process.
  • Develop and maintain adoption planning and tracking models and processes to monitor progress and evaluate outcomes of digital health implementation initiatives.
  • Analyze adoption tracking metrics and feedback, utilizing data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Apply change management principles and techniques to support organizational change associated with the adoption of digital health technologies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the digital health space, applying knowledge to enhance implementation strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 12 or more years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in leading implementation and deployment support, including engagement, adoption planning, and tracking.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining multi-year national deployment strategies and schedules.
  • Ability to coordinate deployment activities in conjunction with other ongoing agency efforts at the national, regional, or site level.
  • Experience in overseeing the deployment of telehealth equipment, mobile apps, and other digital health tools across medical facilities, virtual care centers, and/or homes.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to update strategies and content based on provider and end-user preferences.
  • Strong analytical skills, utilizing adoption tracking metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Change management experience to facilitate organizational change related to the adoption of digital health technologies, telehealth, or virtual care products.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenges and changes in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • In-depth understanding of the clinician's perspective and experience in integrating virtual care tools into care delivery workflows.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and considerations involved in effectively integrating digital health technologies within clinical settings.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure seamless integration of virtual care tools into existing workflows.
  •  Knowledge of best practices and industry standards for incorporating telehealth and digital health tools into patient care.
  • Experience working closely with clinicians and healthcare providers to design and implement solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish credibility with clinical stakeholders, gaining their support and buy-in for digital health implementation initiatives.
  • Understanding of virtual health support and operational models.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and preferences of end users when adopting telehealth equipment, such as patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
  • Experience in assessing end user needs and preferences to tailor implementation and support strategies accordingly.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and user-centered design methodologies to optimize the adoption and usage of telehealth equipment.
  • Ability to provide guidance and recommendations on selecting and implementing telehealth equipment based on end user requirements and organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in conducting user research, surveys, or interviews to gather insights on end user challenges and preferences related to telehealth equipment adoption.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement in the telehealth equipment adoption process.
  • Experience in developing training materials and resources to support end users in effectively using telehealth equipment.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and vendors to address end user challenges and preferences in the design and deployment of healthcare technology and/or telehealth equipment.
  • Experience working with government healthcare agencies is a plus, specifically direct experience with program, project management, or digital development.

This is a full-time position with typical business hours for team members based out of/reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia. The work will be done remotely from NC, SC, or VA. The position may require some travel to medical facilities across the country. will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
